    >What does "you" mean in this particular case?

The person who is paying for the Android phone and is known to be reachable by it. Cell phones don't do everything over TCP/IP. I'm not talking about the "browsing pattern", I am talking about the cellular network being used to triangulate the position of the phone, or in the case of an Android, the GPS being used to yield the position of the phone.

    >Love it how random reddit posters automatically assume the other guy is in idiot. Hint: it's not always the case.

You aren't doing a good job of proving that.

I dunno what comments you're reading, because they're not mine. I agree with you! That doesn't mean that outsourcing your crap to Google is always the way to go. The canonical case is a company with a very large IT operation, or would you like to suggest that Amazon should move their EC2 datacenters "into the cloud"? Amazon can take advantage of the same economies of scale as Google.

Don't forget that the contractor is going to get margin. If their cost of providing service is similar to your cost to do it in-house, the contractor will be more expensive because *they do this to make money*. Large shops aren't the only ones who would want to keep operations in house, either: HPC comes to mind.

You're running around yelling, "THE CLOUD IS ALWAYS THE BESTEST HURR DURR," and that simply is not true.

    >Well here's a test for you. The UN resolution creating Israel was a General Assembly resolution. So was the UN resolution regarding the Palestinian Right of Return. Look on Wikipedia and see for which of those two the fact is stated that as a GA resolution it is not binding.

Wow, an error of omission. And not just that, omitting something you should already know!

You know why they omitted the bit about UNGA resolutions having no binding force in the article on Israel's independence? Because the Partition Plan was rejected by the Arabs, and because Israel won her independence in a war. Israel's independence exists as solid fact, whereas the Palestinian Right of Return exists only in resolutions and dreams. Which one do you think needs a bit of text telling the reader that the resolution isn't legally binding (and would legally bind *with what authority*?)?

"Unless business executives operating in the U.S. recognize the importance of manufacturing and grow wiser about outsourcing, the industrial commons — and the country's economy — will continue to decline."

There is an assumption running the entire length of this article: That U.S. business executives want U.S. manufacturing to do well.

Anyone watching over the past thirty years knows that U.S. business executives have a "I got mine, FU!" attitude towards the rest of the entire planet, not just their nation.

You could put them in separate modules and require that they use `import Your.Module as YM` for disambiguation, but that doesn't sound that great either.

When mapping C libraries into any of the languages that have superior namespace support, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and expose the old enum names anyhow. You really want people to be able to use the original documentation to find out what things are, unless you're going to commit to a complete documentation port as well, and the only way to do that is stay as true to the original names as possible. It sucks, but this is a hard place. (I suppose if there's no documentation for the old library, this doesn't apply.)

That is a genuinely interesting article, I'd recommend anyone read it if you have a few minutes; however, I think you are misreading it to support your point of view.

To summarize: appointing the elder Bush to director of the CIA was most likely a mistake, given his recent involvement in the Watergate scandal. A lot of people caught a lot of shit for it. Bush, as director of the CIA, was involved in directing foreign covert operations, some of which did not go well. There was conflict over reform of the intelligence agencies, which ended in a compromise with Congressional leaders. H.W. went back to international banking at the end.

The Hersh articles and Rockefeller commission are mentioned *once* in that entire article. The article simply proves that H.W.B. was in fact appointed to the position, and that it was a controversial appointment. Nothing more, and certainly nothing to do with your eugenics agenda. I think you get a hard-on whenever you see "Rockefeller," but there's just nothing here.

...In 20 years your children will start paying for how well everything is going. I am paying for how well everything went for my parents now. You will also pay in the next 5 years with inflation of your currency... Where did you think your government got that $900? From Taxes? They printed it from a printing press. The end result will be inflation... Your government, like mine (USA) is trying to print it's way out of a depression but all it's doing is postponing it and making it worse. Take some time and learn a little bit about how inflation and monetary issues manifest themselves in an economy and you will think differently about that $900. Watch some of these videos, all free on youtube/google video. Money Masters, The Corporation and Fiat empire (not the car) :>)

I worked in house and rarely delivered, but for us we had a computer system that kept track of your info (by phone number) like your address and there is a section for comments. Some we wrote in very practically, like if someone had a really mean dog, or if the house was hard to see from the street, etc. We would also write in there if they were exceptionally bad or good "customers" which often meant their tipping habits. Since a delivery guy typically goes out with 3-4 orders at a time, he might plan his route to give the good customers their order first and bast customers their order last.
